Prepaid Meter Loan Code: Active Codes

In this article, we are going to look at the prepaid meter loan code. So, if you don’t know how to activate emergency credit on your prepaid meter, then you need to pay close attention to this guide. 

The prepaid meter loan code is the unique code that you can use to activate emergency credit units or borrow credit units on your prepaid meter. These codes are unique and can only be used to borrow electricity units on the prepaid meter. 

The prepaid meter loan code is not fixed; it varies depending on the meter brand you are using. Since there are many prepaid meter brands, each of these meter brands has its own unique loan code that users can use to activate the emergency credit. 

Prepaid Meter Loan Code

As we stated in the introduction, there are different prepaid meter loan codes, and they vary depending on the prepaid meter brand that you are using. If you are using an Inhemeter, the code that you are going to use to activate the emergency credit units or borrow credit units will be different from another electricity consumer who is using a Hexing prepaid meter. Without further ado, the table below summarises different prepaid meter brands and their attached loan codes.

Apart from the prepaid meter loan codes mentioned in the table above, you can also borrow credit units on your prepaid meter using #414#. However, it has limitations; if you use this code to activate emergency credit units on your prepaid meter, you will only get 5 units. It didn’t stop there; you can only use the code once, and after that, you won’t be able to use the code to borrow credit units again and this option is not available to all prepaid meter users. 

How to Use Prepaid Meter Loan Code

At this point, I am convinced that you have known the prepaid meter loan codes. If so, let’s look out how to use this code

  • Know the prepaid meter brand that you are using to manage your electricity
  • Choose the loan code that is made for your prepaid meter, and if your meter brand is not included in the table above, use #414#.
  • Connect your prepaid meter CIU/keypad to power source
  • Input the code that is suitable for your meter brand into the CIU or use #414#.
  • Click the ’ENTER’’ tab and you will be able to borrow credit units for your prepaid meter. 

N/B;

  1. Borrowed prepaid meter units are not free credit units; hence, ensure that you use them appropriately.
  2. The credit units you borrowed will be deducted from your next recharge
  3. If you don’t repay the credit units you borrowed on time, you may not able to borrow another one next time
  4. Not all meter brands let you borrow credit units. If these codes don’t work on your meter, then you are not eligible to activate emergency credit units on your meter. 

How to borrow from a prepaid meter?

You can borrow from a prepaid meter by using a prepaid meter loan code. Each meter brand has its own loan code. For instance, the prepaid meter load code for the Hexing meter brand is 811/810, while that of Inhemeter is 89898686. The list goes on and you can also activate it by dialling #414# on your meter’s CIU
